This collection responds to humanity's ability to generate so much artificial light that it obscures the stars. The compositions merge the distant light and natural beauty of our night sky with the artificial world we create on the ground. The faint natural light, barely visible to the naked eye, blends with the grid-like street patterns and shapes formed by artificial light, becoming the focus of my research.
Another key element of this collection is the attempt to capture and replicate the patterns formed by artificial light. The movement and glare of light in the darkness create playful, beautiful patterns that offer a sense of comfort at night. Yet, this artificial light dims the starlight, which once inspired wonder, imagination, and a deep connection to history.
Balancing these contrasting ideas, the work evolved into geometric structures crafted from precious metals and gemstones. The stones are suspended, floating within grids of metal, partially obscured yet contained, allowing us to hold them in place.
